This past week #3 child got "Citizen of the Week." We're so proud of him. He worked hard to get that honor at school.
And this past week, Thursday evening, #1 child was inducted into the National Honor Society. Big honor there.
And also this past week, we received a letter from George Mason University, informing us that #1 child was selected as a National Youth Correspondent for the Washington Journalism and Media Conference, "The Next Generation of Leaders", taking place in Fairfax, Virginia. She has been the Yearbook Editor, been on the school newspaper/taken journalism and held offices in Student Body Government all through her high school "career", so this is right up her alley. Only 220 kids are chosen nationwide, to represent their State of residence. It happens this summer, and she has quite a bit of cash to raise in order to go on this trip. She plans on contacting local television stations and newspapers, as well as local businesses. And I'm sure you'll be hearing from her, too. This opportunity is a really great one and will look fabulous on her "resume" as she applies for colleges. She will also receive 1 college credit from George Mason University by attending the conference. Yay!
I need to blog some more, but will do it later. I have photos to share from our trip up to Liberty Butte (next to our property) and photos of the NHS induction ceremony, and the recent progress we've made on the CKM Farms greenhouse. Maybe next week I'll have some time to sit down and update ya'll on what we've been doing.
That's all folks

Amazing!!!! I want to take her out to lunch when she is here---or have her come down to the Civil War!
Congrats to all 3 kids! GMU will be such a fabulous experience. Very exciting! Your mom was bragging on it when I saw her last week.
I'm listening to your "In the Shelter" CD this morning while cooking breakfast. Beautiful! What a treasure.
