C Goes to Homecoming!

HOMECOMING 2008!
Here are some photos of the big night. So much fun.

C went with her friend, Justin, to the Middleton High School homecoming. Friday night (the day before) Middleton won their Homecoming football game. Justin plays on the team. Running back and a defensive position, as well (I think?)

They matched beautifully! C wore a gorgeous plum silk dress with a sheer lace overlay, with old fashioned Victorian lacey patterns along the bottom, and a tulle border also along the bottom to give the skirt a little kick.

I've also put a video (it's the one with the window of the front door as the beginning) of when Justin came to pick her up. You may not be able to hear everything, but listen for M asking "what does that mean?" when I answer Justin's question of when they should be home (midnight; a pumpkin). Also, notice that when I am telling C to "be polite, etc." and giving her quick instructions for the evening, notice that she is not listening to me at all and it looks like I'm talking to Justin because he is the only one paying attention! LOL In fact, the whole time, it looks like I'm talking to Justin because he is tracking so well. (What a nice attentive young man.) And, you can't hear it, but when I ask C if she needs a coat, Justin turns really quick and says to her, "It is cold." Aw! What a sensible guy! And you can hear Rhett briefly in the background say, "all he needs now is a sow to attack him."

When he came in to get her, he asked me if his colors matched okay, and of course, everything was great. He didn't need to worry, he looked just fine and C was radiant in her beautiful dress which went so nicely with her red hair.

C's friend Brittney came and helped her get ready. Brit lives just around the corner so it was perfect. They had fun getting ready, because you know, getting read IS half of the fun! (HINT: If you click on the photos, I think you'll go to a new window with the photo much bigger.)
