So tonight is the "big gig." My lil sis Natalie and I are performing at Living Water book store located in Nampa on the corner of Midland and Roosevelt, tonight at 7 - 9 pm.
We've been singing our whole lives together, but this is the first time we will be doing something "alone." Alone means without our siblings, M, E, M and P. Yes, there's 6 of us but tonight it'll just be the 2 of us. We'll have our good friends Jon (on percussion) and Bill (lead guitar & background vocals). Natalie will do lead vocals and keyboard, and I'll make an attempt to also do lead vocals and rhythm guitar.
Pray that God will give us what we stand in need of! We've both been sick over the past few weeks and so we're a bit run down. But hopefully we can pull it off and have fun, too.

Well, we did it. :-)
Jon and Bill were great. Natalie was great. It was so much fun. We did some covers, and some original stuff that I wrote (3). Alison Kraus, Bob Dylan, Nickel Creek, Fleetwood Mac type stuff. Some praise stuff that didn't sound too pegged that way. We did M&D's song, I'd Choose You Again. One lady bought the CD ("The Tysons - 50th wedding anniv tribute"). We did an a capella song "Walk with Me" old negro spiritual song. She asked "is that song on the CD?" No, it wasn't. "Well I would buy another CD if that song was on it. I loved it. What's your band's name?" Ah....we don't have a name. :-) I suggested to Natalie the name 15 Years (the space between us).
Sounds awesome. Im sure YOU were great too. :-) Book 'em again July and I'll join ya!
Yeah, you bet Emily. That would be awesome. I'll ask Natalie to check with Living Water and see if there's a date open in July. Look forward to it!
