Last night at small group there was discussion about the new year. Thinking about the past year and looking to the new one; we are truly blessed. We live in a world of lost and hurting souls. People who run away from God, who hate Him and reject Him and live in misery. But the christian life, a life surrendered and belonging to God, is a joy-filled life. I am looking back on 2007 and facing 2008, knowing that I am resting in God's care.
"In the shelter of my dear Jesus, all my life in him abide, finding compassion I do rest my soul."
"Wonderful, merciful savior, precious redeemer and friend, who would have thought that a Lamb could rescue the souls of men."
