The Celtic Tenors & Tiernan - WOW!

Matthew Gilsenan (left) James Nelson (center) and Daryl Simpson (right)

We are so proud of our daughter and all the Tiernan Irish Dancers! Last night was a wonderful concert. We saw the Celtic Tenors perform an amazing concert, as well as their guest soloist, Deirdre Shannon. Deirdre is the sister of one of the Celtic Tenors (above left). The accompanist/pianist David was fabulous (I don't have a picture of him). C and the Tiernan Irish dancers danced so well. We were all enthusiastically happy to be able to take part in this event. They sang Shenandoah, O Danny Boy, Caledonia, Nessun Dorma, The Prayer, among others. A big surprise of the evening was their performance of the 80's tune, I'm All Out of Love by Air Supply. They turned a sometimes sappy love song into a gorgeous sophisticated ballad that just sent chills up your spine.
C was able to get autographs from all four singers and was grinning ear to ear, as in the photos, all evening long. She danced beautifully and her parents could not be prouder. She said she wants to become a "Celtic Tenor Groupie" and is convinced we should take a road trip to Twin Falls today so she can see them perform there tonight. My DH was even totally blown away by the concert! It was just a great evening.
So, if the Celtic Tenors come to your town, my advice to you is: GO SEE THEM. Unfortunately, you won't have the extra added bonus of the Tiernan Irish Dancers there, but I promise, you will be treated to a wonderful night of beautiful singing and great entertainment.

I didn't know Deirdre Shannon's website for my last blog, so check out my latest for her info. I know what CD is being added to my collection.
